Fomento Radio Beep S.A. de C.V. is constituted in the city of Monterrey. It’s the first great step to what would become a technological revolution across Latin America.

The beginning
After 8 years of waiting for the The Ministry of Communications and Transportation of Mexico (SCT), Radio Beep begins operations, offering its service nationwide.

Radio Beep moves and debuts its emblematic headquarters in Loma Larga. A great neon billboard would light up the city nights.

Inspired by Asia
Depués de un viaje a Asia y aplicar lo aprendido, Radio Beep modifica suestrategia de venta y servicio y logra aumentar 32 veces sus ventas globales.

Marcatel is founded
As the next natural step for Radio Beep, Marcatel is established in association with IXC. The new telecommunications company would shake the existing monopoly in Mexico.
April 8, 1995
Long-Distance
The Ministry of Communications and Transportation of Mexico (SCT) grants Marcatel a concession to offer long-distance services in Mexico for the next 30 years.

The Jorge García Abaroa Scholarship is established
The BJGA scholarship is created in honor of Br. Jorge García Abaroa, who dedicated his life to supporting the education of young people in Nuevo León. This nonprofit organization would be dedicated to donations and programs for children and youth.
